GOLDSTREAM Farmers Market

Same again and hopefully the weather cooperates. Ye never know in July.

Islands Folk Festival - Providence Farm, Duncan

I’m quite excited for this weekend. I’ve been asked to be a presenter/performer. So I get to hang around the stage, meeting musicians and introducing them on stage. I also get to present a number of my own songs during tear down/set up between acts. No idea which stage or what time yet but either way it’ll be a blast. I can barely remember my last time at this festival as it was not too long after I arrived in Canada, so I’m sure the process has changed considerably, but the vibe will be awesome anyway.

39 Days of July, Duncan - with Martin Nolan (uilleann pipes/whistles)

Martin and I played the the town square last year on an unseasonably cold evening which made it quite hard to keep everything in tune. But this year we’re at Hoey Park near the train station and looking forward to a warmer evening all round.

PARKSVILLE - Memorial Plaza

An outdoor show in a lovely location. I’ve done several shows in Parksville and I’ve always had fun and been well received. As always let the weather gods smile.

DUBLIN2 at Butchart Gardens

This venue has to be one of our all time favourites. A beautiful setting, a great sound and lighting crew, and super treatment thanks to Craig Moddle, MC and all round nice guy. Ceilidh Briscoe joins us again this year and we’ll have lots of new sets of tunes and songs from my latest CD “Cast a Cold Eye”. Bring a picnic and blanket.

DUBLIN2 at RUBY'S BARN - 4910 W. Saanich Rd., Victoria

Always a fun place to play, upstairs above the sheep and horses in a very intimate venue. With Martin Nolan and Ceilidh Briscoe, we’ll do a very different set from the St. Patrick’s celebration which was very much a sing-a-long. Of course we’ll give you a chance to add your voices to my original songs and a number of better known traditional songs.

House party in Duncan

Gord Pollock and his wife Anne, friends of ours for many years, are always kind enough to open their lovely home to us each year. In the open air by the swimming pool (or indoors if the weather is dodgy) Gord runs the sound, does the marketing, sets out the snacks and generally does everything to set up a great night. We appreciate their kindness and enthusiasm very much.

Contact Gord at 250 732 8250 for further details.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS DATE MAY BE SWITCHED TO END OF AUGUST.

NORTH SAANICH Farmers Market

One of my favourite markets. Such nice, supportive vendors, customers and volunteers.

GOLDSTREAM Farmers Market

Last market of the season. But no time to hibernate.
